Through good times and bad, it has been all the familiar faces from the local community that have supported us through their patronage and have helped us grow into the restaurant we are today. We feel less of a business in the community and more of a community business. To express our gratitude, we have created a donation program to help select local non-profits. We have also initiated a program on Sundays to help other local agencies and organizations.*
This year Solano Grill & Bar will be offering two ways to help our patrons enjoy Mother's Day. For the entire family, we will be serving a special Sunday Brunch from 9:30am to 2:00pm. This brunch will feature our regular menu which focuses on omelettes, specialty egg dishes, pancakes, and waffles to help begin the day on the right foot. Additionally, we will be offering special crepes, french toasts, and waffle dishes served with the seasonal fruits of May. Special champagnes by the glass and other special brunch dishes will also be offered in the Solano Grill & Bar style.
At dinner, in addition to the regular menu, we will feature a special three course Pris Fixe menu featuring the exotic creations and the delicate flavors of Chef Sam Chen. As the tradition has become with our Pris Fixe menus there will be several choices for the first, entree, and dessert courses and each item will be available a la carte. A special 3 course public wine tasting dinner will be held Sunday May 18th in the evening. Over 25 wines will be featured from several wineries each paired with the food items served. The evening will be hosted by our wine consultant Ron Matsui and several winery representatives. Reservations are required and tickets begin at $50 per person. Space is limited.
